The Polish House vocal ensemble \u201cBarwy Daugawy\u201d (\u201cColors of the Daugava\u201d) invites you to its 25th anniversary concert, which will take place on March 18 at 6:00 PM in the Concert Hall of the Vien\u012bbas nams.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From its very first steps on stage, the group has grown into a well-recognized vocal trio. Over the years, both the ensemble\u2019s line-up and musical genres have evolved, shaping a diverse musical identity. Currently, the ensemble is led by Sta\u0146islavs Jakovenko, and the group continues to develop its unique sound.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarwy Daugawy\u201d is known for its wide-ranging repertoire \u2013 from folk song arrangements and jazz interpretations to contemporary and sacred music. The ensemble performs in several languages, mainly Polish, Latvian, and English, thus reaching a broad audience.<\/p>\n

At the anniversary concert, the ensemble will be joined by musicians from the Jazz Music and Art Development Center under the direction of conductor Arnolds Gr\u012bnberts, as well as the instrumental ensemble of the Polish Culture Center led by Gir\u0161s Kagans.<\/p>\n

The ensemble looks back with gratitude on its achievements and continues its creative journey, cherishing every meeting with the audience. The \u201cBarwy Daugawy\u201d anniversary concert will take place on March 18 at 6:00 PM in the Concert Hall of the Vien\u012bbas nams, R\u012bgas Street 22a. Admission is free of charge.<\/p>\n

The event is organized by the Polish House of the National Cultures Center of the Daugavpils Culture Palace with the support of the Jan Olszewski Foundation \u201cAid to Poles in the East,\u201d funded by the Senate of the Republic of Poland as part of the 2026 program supporting Poles living outside Poland.<\/p>\n
