On Monday, June 1 at 5:00 PM, the solo exhibition \u201cA Moment Between Seconds\u201d by photographer Margarita Vigule will open at the Daugavpils Palace of Culture as part of the Daugavpils City Festival celebrations.<\/p>\n
The exhibition invites visitors to pause amidst the rush of everyday life and notice what usually slips by unnoticed \u2014 brief yet emotionally powerful moments that reveal the tension of movement, genuine emotions, and the intensity of life.<\/p>\n
All photographs featured in the exhibition were taken in Daugavpils, capturing the city\u2019s people, sporting events, cultural life, and everyday rhythm. The images reflect the energy, emotions, and moments that shape the character of Daugavpils and create a shared sense of memory.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat has always mattered most to me is authenticity \u2014 a living emotion, a genuine glance, and a moment without pretence. I am drawn not to perfectly staged poses, but to the natural and sincere qualities that reveal themselves effortlessly in a person,\u201d says photographer Margarita Vigule.<\/p>\n
Her journey into photography began while raising her children, when the desire to preserve fleeting moments of childhood gradually evolved into a deeper need to notice and capture the truth of life. She developed her photographic skills through self-education \u2014 step by step, through persistence, experience, and love for her calling.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me, photography is a way to see, feel, and preserve with the heart. If my photographs encourage someone to pause, notice, or truly feel something important, then that is where the true meaning of what I do lies,\u201d the artist admits.<\/p>\n
The exhibition \u201cA Moment Between Seconds\u201d will be on view at the Daugavpils Palace of Culture until June 30.<\/p>\n
