Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures present Jason Momoa and Jack Black in the lead roles in Jared Hess’s “The Minecraft Movie,” the first feature film adaptation of the best-selling video game of all time, “Minecraft.”
The film also stars Emma Myers (“Wednesday”), Academy Award nominee Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), Sebastian Hansen (“Just Forgive Me,” “Lizzy’s Story”) and Jennifer Coolidge.
Welcome to the world of “Minecraft,” where creativity not only helps you build, but is also essential for survival! Four outcasts – Garrett “The Grabber” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers), and Donna (Brooks) – are unable to cope with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Upworld – a strange, cubic wonderland created by imagination. To return home, they will have to master this world (and protect it from evil creatures like piglins and zombies), while embarking on a magical journey with an unexpected crafting expert, Steve (Black). This journey will encourage all five to be brave and remember the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative – the very skills they need to succeed in the real world.
