On January 14, 2026, a creative evening by poet and bard Anatolijs Gallers titled “Poetry as a Reflection of the Soul” took place at the Forštate Cultural Space of the National Cultures Centre (41a Vidzemes Street). The event was dedicated to the author’s 75th anniversary.

Creative work, love, humor and satire, nature poetry, and life philosophy—all these themes permeated A. Galler’s expressive lines of poetry and songs. The author enthusiastically shared stories about his life and creative journey, recited poetry, and performed songs.

As a musical tribute, songs based on the poet’s lyrics were performed by soloists Aleksejs Privalovs and Svetlana Trofimova; duets Jeļena Vitkeviča and Valērijs Jermačenko, Regīna Rodikova and Tatjana Bogdanova; as well as by the Belarusian folk song ensemble “Kupaļinka.”

The literary and musical evening “Poetry as a Reflection of the Soul” was met with considerable audience interest, bringing together a wide circle of poetry enthusiasts. On the occasion of the poet’s юбilee, he received warm congratulations from the event organizers and representatives of Daugavpils literary and public organizations.

The event was organized by the Forštate Cultural Space of the National Cultures Centre, a unit of the Daugavpils city municipality institution “Daugavpils Culture Palace.”
