Exhibition “Paradoxes”
On March 14 of this year at 4:00 p.m., the solo exhibition of artist Ērika Kuksinoviča “Paradoxes” will be opened in the foyer of the 1st floor of the Daugavpils Culture Palace.
Paradox is a seemingly contradictory, but in fact logical phenomenon that provokes thought and challenges the usual view of the world. It is this approach that also characterizes the art of Ērika Kuksinoviča – in her works, opposites merge into a harmonious whole, revealing new points of view and unexpected interpretations.
“There are many paradoxes in my works, as in my life. I work in poor lighting, change day for night and combine incompatible techniques and materials. This gives my works a special character and unique flavor,” says the artist.
Ērika Kuksinoviča was born on May 14, 1972 in Daugavpils. She spent her school years in Līvāni, where she studied at Līvāni Secondary School No. 2 from grades 1 to 10. After graduating from high school, she continued her education at Riga Technical University, where she graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in 1994.
The artist’s work is dominated by graphic works, which were formed under the influence of her studies at RTU, however, in recent years she has actively turned to painting, working with oil, acrylic and watercolor paints. She regularly participates in plein airs and exhibitions both in Latvia and abroad. Ērika Kuksinoviča’s works are in private collections all over the world.
The artist lives and works in Daugavpils, actively participating in the Daugavpils Region Artists Association.
We invite all art lovers to visit the exhibition and get to know Ērika Kuksinoviča’s unique view of the world through the prism of paradoxes!
