Liene Kivičas solo exhibition “Gold Is Not a Color, It Is Shining Silence”
From January 30 to March 3, the Daugavpils Palace of Culture will host the solo exhibition by artist Liene Kiviča, “Gold Is Not a Color – It Is Silence That Shines.” Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy visually and emotionally rich paintings that invite the viewer to surrender to light, silence, and inner peace.
The exhibition is conceived as a meditation in light—here, color, form, and gold are not decorative accents, but a bridge between the visible and the felt. L. Kivičas works encourage the viewer to pause, listen inwardly, and experience silence as an inner light, harmony, and calm.
At the core of the exhibition’s concept lies the message that true wealth is found in silence, restraint, and inner light. Each artwork becomes a space that the viewer can symbolically enter, pause within, and hear themselves. It is an experience that unfolds not only in physical space, but also within the individual-as a conversation with oneself, where color transforms into sensation and silence into healing peace.
Liene Kiviča is a creative personality, a professional artist and designer with an academic background. Her art is closely connected to the inner world, meditation, and the realm of sensations, where painting becomes a process of healing and understanding. In her solo exhibition at the Daugavpils Palace of Culture, the artist turns to abstract painting, placing particular emphasis on the symbolic and emotional significance of light.
