Chinese classical ballet in Daugavpils!

On October 30th of this year at 6:00 PM, the Daugavpils Palace of Culture (Smilšu Street 92) will host a concert performance by the Beijing Dance Academy (China) troupe “OBVIOUS – IMPOSSIBLE” as part of the 30th Baltic Ballet Festival.

“OBVIOUS – INCREDIBLE” is a performance in which you will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique technique of Chinese classical ballet, magnificent costumes and the inimitable magic of light art. Tickets can be purchased at the Daugavpils Palace of Culture and Biļešu Paradīze box offices. Price – 10.00 euros.

As the organizers of the event indicate: “Since Chinese classical ballet is an emotionally and visually impressive art form that combines Western classical ballet technique with elements of Chinese culture, the performance will offer you both amazing virtuosity and technique, as well as the perfection of artistic expression.”

The origins of the Baltic Ballet Festival “From Classic to Avant-garde” can be traced back to 1996. At the initiative of the festival director Lita Beiris, this year for the 30th time the Latvian audience is introduced not only to the diversity of classical ballet, but also discovers the charm and appeal of avant-garde dance. This year, the festival activities will take place from October 22 to November 10 in Riga, Cēsis, Ventspils and Daugavpils.
