More than a century ago, our peoples embarked on the path to freedom. In 1918, Poland and Latvia regained their independence, and today — 105 years later — we honor those who fought for the sovereignty of both countries. In honor of these significant events, the Daugavpils Polish Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Riga and the Daugavpils branch of the Polish Union of Latvia “Promień”, cordially invite you to a festive concert dedicated to the Polish Independence Day and the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, which will take place on November 8, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the Daugavpils Palace of Culture (Smilšu Street 92).

The concert will feature the outstanding Andrzej Jagodzińska Trio (Poland) — Polish jazz masters who virtuosoally combine classics with modernity, emotions with craftsmanship. Jagodziński Trio is an ensemble that has changed the perception of Polish jazz, giving the music of Fryderyk Chopin a completely new sound. Their interpretations combine the elegance of classical music and the freedom of jazz, creating a space where emotions, subtlety and musical dialogue reign. This is not just a concert – it is a sound journey experience that touches the heart and ignites the imagination. This musical event will be a tribute to the heroes of the past and an expression of our common identity.
