On January 8, 2026, the exhibition of paintings “Portrait” by artist Alīna Petkūne (Art Dalyna) was opened at the Polish House. A wide circle of guests gathered at 30 Varšavas Street – children, young people, adults, the artist’s friends and colleagues, as well as representatives of various institutions. The opening of the exhibition became a warm and lively meeting place, with both people and art at its heart.

The event was given a bright and musical atmosphere by the children’s and youth ensemble “Kukułeczka.” Their performance symbolically connected generations and invited reflection on how art is able to preserve memories while at the same time revealing new experiences.

Alīna Petkūne’s works are dedicated to the portrait as a story about a person — about fragility, strength, longing, and the light that lives within everyone. The paintings are emotionally rich, yet at the same time delicate and nuanced. They do not impose themselves, but rather invite the viewer to pause and see the portrait as a reflection of their own personal story.

The exhibition “Portrait” will be on view until February 2.

Admission is free of charge.

Visitors are kindly asked to register their visit in advance by phone: +371 654 39719.

This is an opportunity to pause, to look attentively at another human being — and perhaps also at oneself — with greater gentleness and presence.
