On April 17, a photo exhibition by professional photographer Džeina Saulīte took place at the Daugavpils Culture Palace. Dedicated to shelter animals, the exhibition is titled “A Paw for Everyone”. Photographs That Speak. Fates That Wait. It serves as an emotional and touching reminder of those who are waiting for love, a home, and care.
Through Džeina Saulīte’s lens, each four-legged hero was given a chance to be noticed — with their own story, personality, and hope for a better future. The aim of the exhibition is to show the value of every animal’s life and, perhaps, to inspire someone to make a responsible decision — to give one of them a home.
Each visitor had the opportunity not only to experience powerful and emotionally rich photographs, but also to learn the stories of these animals. In addition, visitors contributed by bringing pet food, which was later donated to the shelter. Among the visitors were not only those who care about the fate of shelter animals — cooperation partners, friends of the photographer, the “Second Home” shelter — but also one of our four-legged friends.
The exhibition is on display in the foyer of the Daugavpils Culture Palace and invites everyone to reflect on our everyday actions and how we treat our small, furry companions.
